Hotel Glenwood Springs recently won two coveted awards; the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor and Fido’s Favorite Award from BringFido.com. Assistant General Manager, Jessica Fenlon, explains, “As a pet friendly hotel here at Hotel Glenwood Springs, we are honored to receive the Fido’s Favorite Award.” She continues, “We make it a point to not only get to know our guests, but their pets as well. We try and learn each and every pets name and even allow the pets to be left in the room as long as we have a cell phone number for the owner just in case we need to contact them. We offer affordable pet-friendly rooms in only one location of the hotel, close to the entrance, to help make it convenient for our guests traveling with pets. Another reason why we keep our pet-friendly rooms in one location is for guests who do have pet allergies; we can ensure that they will be safe and comfortable during their stay with us in a pet-free location of the hotel.”
The hotel, located next to the Adventure Park, also received the 2014 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Fenlon says, “Being 91% recommended and the #2 Hotel in Glenwood Springs is a huge accomplishment for us. We’ve been extremely fortunate to have found a friendly and caring team who goes above and beyond on a daily basis to provide excellent service to each and every guest.” She continues, “We absolutely see ourselves as a strong team, from front desk to maintenance and housekeeping, which plays a major role in our success.”
Over the last 8 months, the hotel has freshened up its’ Indoor Waterpark with new paint, a sand-coated deck, all new floor mats and many other small touches. Fenlon explains, “In October of 2013, we finished putting flat screen TV’s in all of our rooms and we now offer over 100 premium channels.” In 2014, the property is looking to complete a big project of re-painting all of the guest rooms with a fresh and more modern look. Another goal this year, is to become a “Green Leader” on TripAdvisor. Hotel Glenwood Springs already has numerous green practices in place, but we are constantly looking for ways to improve what is done and how it is done.
